1 Introduction Polyacetylenes are polymers with π-conjugated hydrocarbon backbone in which single and double bonds regularly alternate. Highly variable chain-growth coordination polymerization using terminal and internal acetylenes as monomers is used for the preparation of polyacetylenes [1-3]. The long-term development of organometallic catalysts for this polymerization led to the preparation of hundreds of covalently and configurationally different polyacetylenes.
