Toasty temperatures are expected this afternoon with highs in the 70s and a few 80s. Strong southerly flow will help temperatures warm. The winds today are also helping to transport smoke from prescribed burns across the Flint Hills and other prescribed burns in Oklahoma into central Kansas. Smoke in the atmosphere has impacted air quality across the region. Our air quality ranges from moderate to unhealthy, with the worst air quality across northwest and northcentral Kansas.
