    Chester Zoo has released artist impressions of its new project – 51 safari-style lodges which will offer overnight accommodation to visitors. The development is called The Reserve at Chester Zoo, and will feature 51 lodges where guests can stay in and amongst the wildlife. Guests will be able to choose from a variety of different lodges, available for up to nine people.

    The line-up has been announced for the fourth annual Eat Well MCR dinner, in collaboration with the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show. The event brings together an array of cheffing talent from Manchester and beyond to support Eat Well MCR’s mission of supporting people facing food insecurity and hardship in the region. The dinner, which will be held at Caravan on Monday 10 March, will be hosted by Emily Spowage.

    A new initiative has come together to raise money for cancer research in Manchester. Business Beats Cancer Manchester is a new charity which, on behalf of Cancer Research UK, raises funds for targeted cancer treatments, benefitting residents here in Manchester. And to celebrate their launch they’ve recruited Mancunian writer and performer David Scott – aka Argh Kid – to pen and perform a poem about the fight against cancer, ending with the poignant line: “We stand together, together we fight”.

And now, in their 10th year, they’ve expanded into the previously unloved railway arches on Whitworth Street West. The result is three interconnected spaces for artists in and around Manchester to work, exhibit and network. Described as a ‘world class, free-to-use, artist development hub’, HOME Arches launched today (23 January).
