INTRODUCTION Pierre Robin sequence (PRS) has an estimated prevalence of 1 in 10.000 births and is characterized by micrognathia and glossoptosis leading to upper airway compromise. An additional characteristic is a U-shaped cleft palate and feeding difficulties. As airway obstruction can be life-threatening, immediate recognition and treatment are vital. There are different surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
