In 2024, Disney+ gave Beatlemaniacs the chance to see how Beatlemania started in America, with the “Beatles’ 64” documentary directed by David Tedeschi. Disney+ has allowed us to look at how the Beatles have made history. In 2021, they released the “Get Back” documentary directed and produced by Peter Jackson. It provided us insight into their creative process over the years, specifically toward their last album “Let It Be” released in 1970.

Sometimes, we wonder why or how we ended up here. Doubt can lead us to forget how we arrived at our current destination. We need to ask ourselves how we can end this doubt and start to enjoy the fruits of our labor. This doubt is known as Imposter syndrome, the psychological experience of feeling like a fake or a phony despite any genuine success that you have achieved.

Christmas music doesn’t just begin playing in December—it kicks off in November, which says a lot about how merry this season is. It’s more of a challenge to make a Christmas playlist because, unlike Halloween, there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of great Christmas songs from the 1950s, 1970s, 1980s and even more recent years. There are a lot of things to consider: this playlist has to be fun, nostalgic, hopeful and joyful. But most importantly, it has to evoke memories of Christmases past.

The social media app, TikTok, has been responsible for a number of things we’ve seen become popular online. From trends and live streams to donations with much-needed causes, and even artists achieving superstardom by promoting songs, the opportunities on this platform are limitless. But one phenomenon that has caught on fire like never before is BookTok, a subculture that is here to stay and appears to get more popular by the day.

The season of giving, gratefulness, thankfulness and joy is upon us. Pretty much every store has some sort of promotion going on all because of Black Friday. Of course, every store will have deals according to what they sell.

Life as a college student is not easy. Sometimes we are hanging on by a thread just to make ends meet. That is why so many students choose to shop at thrift stores. Sure, some people may give you the occasional side eye, but you are getting items you want and need for an affordable price. By buying these items you’re helping the environment, preventing them from ending up in the trash or on the floor and recycling them for further use. It’s also the thrill of the hunt.

Who doesn’t love Halloween? For one night, it’s endless candy, Halloween festivities and the chance to dress up as someone you love, admire or even love to hate. Every year the costumes are different, but the traditions remain the same. Last year, many people dressed up as Ken and Barbie, Mario characters, Spiderman, Batman—the list goes on and on. Ken and Barbie became popular because of the “Barbie” movie. You would hear “Hello Ken, Hello Barbie” everywhere you went when the film came out.

One of my favorite descriptions of a playlist comes from the 2020 reboot of “High Fidelity”: “Making a playlist is a delicate art. It’s like writing a love letter but better in a way.” In this case, we are going to write a love letter to Halloween. What makes a Halloween playlist ‘Halloween worthy?’ Does it have to scare you? Does it have to spook you? Or, does it have to give you Goosebumps? Truthfully, the answer could be any of these.

Creating a club is not easy. There are many steps that, for some, could be overwhelming. For others, it’s just motivation to see the club come to fruition, which was the case with two college roommates and their neighbor. Jessica Johnson and Brooke Faure arrived at San Diego State University as freshmen. Johnson, an English major, and Faure, a marketing major, wanted different professions but had shared a common passion for the arts.
