We’re in the home stretch of the 89th session of the Texas Legislature, with the last day (known as Sine Die, or as we say in Texas, “sign-ee die”) on June 2. Yesterday was the deadline for House bills to pass the House on second reading, which means most filed bills are now effectively dead.
