Today, with war in Europe, rising threats in the Middle East, and growing instability worldwide, their role is more vital than ever.

That stability β affordable housing, decent public services, fair wages β helped give my family a shot at a better life. It gave them the chance to believe that things could get better. Too many people in Basingstoke today feel that opportunity is slipping further out of reach.
