The Epson Tour is entering week two of a four-week stretch of events as the end of the season nears. At this point in the year, if a player has competed in every event on the 2024 calendar, this will be week 16 on the road since the beginning of March. The mental and physical wear and tear is starting to catch up with a lot of athletes at the moment, especially during this four-week swing.

Yahui Zhang collected her first Epson Tour title this past weekend at the Four Winds Invitational in South Bend, Ind., moving her from eighth to first in the Race for the Card standings. With 1360.316 points, the People’s Republic of China native has put herself in the driver’s seat to earn her LPGA Tour card for 2025, with only four events remaining in the 2024 season.

The Epson Tour heads to Prattville, Ala., for the Guardian Championship. The beautiful Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill will host 120 of the Tour’s top players, including three former champions and the entire top 15 in the Race for the Card standings, each vying for a share of a $262,500 purse and 500 Race for the Card points.

Last week at the Four Winds Invitational, the Epson Tour saw its 15th different player enter the winner’s circle this season. Yahui Zhang picked up her first professional win and moved her way to No. 1 in the Race for the Card, putting the 2024 rookie in prime position to win Epson Tour Player of the Year. Zhang enters the Guardian Championship having earned a win and six additional top-10 finishes throughout her rookie campaign.
