There are still four months until the Green Bay Packers have to make final cuts, but they recently added over 20 new players to reach their 90-man roster. Right now, excitement is in the air over all these new prospects and their potential, but not so long from now, the Packers will have to winnow that number down to 53. The Packers added eight selections and some intriguing undrafted free agents to their already-talented roster.

Jared Spurgeon and Jonas Brodin are the only two Minnesota Wild players who’ve played in the second round of the playoffs. Every other player has never seen a second round in Minnesota. The Wild have players who have won it all, some more than once. However, for this Minnesota team and its fans, the second round is the mountain top, and the summit looks far away. Minnesota has again lost a playoff series after leading, falling to 0-5 in games to go up 3-1 in a series again.

As an event, the NFL draft was an amazing success for the city of Green Bay. However, the host team didn’t have a strong enough draft to match the excitement around the event itself. Boldy is in the playoffs for the third time, and he has a lone goal and four points in 12 games. Not exactly what you hope for with a top-line winger. However, Boldy played well for Minnesota this year. The Milford, Mass. native led the team with 27 goals and 73 points.

Hynes says everybody got out of last night healthy but they’ll talk about possible lineup or line changes later on. I’ll bet my career Ryan Hartman won’t start as fourth-line center tomorrow night. Hynes loved his game and particularly his discipline
