    Taking a holiday alone is firmly on trend. Solos specialist Friendship Travel has seen this type of trip has become more popular with under 60s. In 2024, it noted a 12 per cent year-on-year increase in bookings by people aged 30 to 50. A survey by hotel brand Hilton found that more than a third of respondents wanted to take a solo trip this year.
