    CAVERNA, Ky. – Caverna Elementary School is hosting a school-wide pants drive. Now through Jan. 24, Caverna encourages the public to donate gently used pants. This includes jeans, sweatpants and leggings for children K-6. This movement is centered around Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as an inspiration for giving back to the community. Family resources at Caverna Elementary say children will benefit greatly from these donations, especially among the less fortunate population.

    BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Three students from Warren County Public Schools have been selected ambassadors for a technology organization. The Student Technology Leadership Program is a branch of the Kentucky Department of Education. S.T.L.P uses project based learning to empower learning and achievements for grades K-12. Students are able to create and connect through technology as well as digital content. South Warren High School junior, Grayson Cox, encourages others to pursue their goals.

    KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s exports will likely grow at a slower pace of 4% this year versus an estimated 5.1% in 2024 on the back of higher tariffs that are yet to be implemented by US President-elect Donald Trump. Socio-Economic Research Centre (SERC) executive director Lee Heng Guie said despite US imports rising between 2018 and 2022, the tariffs that have not been announced yet could hit export volumes this year.

Around 6.8 million people in the United States donate blood each year, according to the American Red Cross. However, the winter weather often sees a decrease in donations. Experts say those who shy away from giving also because of the fear of illnesses or travel during the holiday months.
