King Charles and Queen Camilla have bowed out in style at the end of a State Visit that turned into a sparkling success. The final part of their trip to Italy was spent in Ravenna where big crowds turned out to see them as they got a taste, quite literally, of la dolce vita. The focus of this fourth day was ‘slow food’ and a chance to try some of the most celebrated dishes of Ravenna and the Emilia-Romagna region.

Queen Camilla has worn her wedding dress to mark a very special date – the 20th anniversary of her marriage to King Charles. The Queen arrived at the Italian Parliament in the cream coloured coat dress during her State Visit to the country. Queen Camilla had not one but two royal wedding outfits for her marriage to King Charles III on April 9th 2005, and that meant two hats. Denmark’s Princess Isabella will finally be able to wear a special honour she was given when her father became king. As the second in line to the throne turns 18, she can use the Order of the Elephant. The Order of the Elephant is Denmark’s highest chivalric order and is bestowed entirely at the Sovereign’s discretion. Typically, it is awarded to royalty and foreign heads of state. In the cases of members of the Danish and Norwegian Royal Families, it is a gift bestowed on their 18th birthdays.

King Charles has his work cut out now with his gift for the twentieth anniversary of his marriage to Queen Camilla after his wife said she was ”humbled” by a present handed over with just hours to go until their big day. On the eve of the couple’s milestone anniversary, they were given an official welcome to Italy at the start of their first State Visit there as King and Queen.

Love the behind the scenes peek for the State Banquet and love even more that while the lady of the house is taking it all very seriously, her husband is just relieved she's not still talking about the menu https://t.co/GlD79FArFz
