Vitalik Buterin, the prominent co-founder of Ethereum, had his Twitter account hacked into this weekend, resulting in nearly $700,000 being stolen from users on X, the Elon Musk-owned platform formerly known as Twitter. On Saturday, the hacker gained access to Buterin’s Twitter account followed by nearly 5 million users, and posted a malicious link seemingly promoting a commemorative non-fungible token (NFT) released by Consensys.
