Among the top items on Conshohocken Mayor Yaniv Aronson’s current wish list: Good weather on June 7. At least between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. That’s when the annual Conshohocken Arts Festival and Car Show plans to take over most of Fayette Street. Organizers have scheduled a rain date for the following weekend, but “having a nice day on the seventh would make things so much easier.”A little over a week out, “It looks good from here,” Aronson said.

George Washington once declared “A nation is judged by how well it treats its veterans.” In Plymouth, that treatment includes the banners purchased by friends or relatives for display at Greater Plymouth Community Center Park. Enrollment in the township’s Veteran Banners program is currently open through May 9. Each streamer costs $25, contains the honoree’s photo and hangs along the fence at the Germantown Pike-Walton Road playing field between Memorial Day and Veterans Day for two years.
