Ramban,Jan 15: Kishtwar- Sinthan Top – Anantnag NH-244 was partially restored after concerned agency NHIDCL cleared accumulated snow from the road and made it traffic-worthy on Wednesday. However, as per the Traffic Department, Kishtwar – Sinthan Top- Anantnag National Highway 244 was not fully operational due to accumulation of snow.

Ramban, Jan 13: The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained open on Monday but the movement of traffic was slow on Monday, traffic authorities said. They said Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained open for two-way traffic movement of light, medium and heavy vehicles but traffic movement remained slow due to the breakdown of few heavy vehicles and due to single-lane and poor condition of road stretch at Dalwass, Mehar Cafeteria, and between Maroog and Kishtwar Pathar areas of Ramban.

Ramban, Jan 11: The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained open for two-way traffic on Saturday. Traffic authorities said NH -44 remained open but traffic movement remained slow due to the breakdown of few heavy vehicles, poor road conditions and due to single-lane road stretches at Dalwass, Mehar Cafeteria, and between Maroog and Kishtwar Pathar areas of Ramban district.

Ramban, Jan 9: Police recovered an unidentified body from Nashri Nallah in Chanderkote on Thursday. Police sources said an information was received through reliable sources that an unidentified male body having age about 40 years approximately was lying at Nashri Nallah. They said on getting information a Police team from Police Station Chanderkote reached the spot and retrieved the unknown body and shifted it to sospital for identification.

Ramban, Jan 9: Two persons died in two separate road accidents in Kishtwar and Ramban districts on Thursday, official sources said. Police sources said a tipper (Dumper) on its way to the muck dumping site of Kiru Power Project Kishtwar went out of control of its driver and slipped into a gorge. One person died on the spot.
