Milwaukee County leaders advocated for a major investment from state lawmakers as Wisconsin's Joint Finance Committee met Friday at Wisconsin State Fair Park.County Leaders are asking for a $500 million investment to demolish and rebuild Milwaukee's Public Safety Building.The committee held a public hearing which was met with a packed crowd, all with their own concerns for Gov. Tony Evers' state budget.

The NFL Draft is coming soon to Green Bay, and construction of the Draft Theater begins March 29. The Draft Theater site will be on the east side of Lambeau Field on Oneida Street. Due to the construction, South Oneida Street will be closed between Lombardi Avenue and Ridge Road. Armed Forces Drive will also be closed. Road closures begin Saturday, March 29, and are expected to last until May 10.

For two straight seasons, the Plainview Lady Bulldogs reached the postseason but were taken down in the bi-district round. With nearly the entire varsity roster returning from a year ago, Head Coach Adrian Alfaro believes this year’s team is capable of making a deep playoff push. “We have a special group here,” Alfaro said. “I really see us making a deep run." The sky’s the limit for this team, he added.

The Plainview boys basketball program has experienced a lot of change over the past three years. The most significant is probably the change of head coaches. Head Coach Rob Ogle is the third head coach in as many years. He doesn’t plan on going anywhere, though. He hopes to develop a new culture, starting with this year’s core group. “We want to be known as a blue-collar team. We want to play good, solid defense and limit our opponents to one possession per trip down the floor,” Ogle said.
