After showing Shamrock Rovers enjoying themselves on Friday in front of Virgin Media Television’s live cameras winning in Tolka Park for the first time in three years, the Hoops are back-to-back on TV next weekend followed by two St. Patrick’s Athletic matches. Virgin have announced their next four live matches including Rovers’ home game with Cork City next Friday (with kick-off moving to 19:45) and the Dublin Derby in Dalymount Park between Bohemians and Rovers the following Monday.

Shelbourne host Shamrock Rovers on Friday night in the first set of games since the mid-season break – time off for the league that Damien Duff slammed as “a week on the gargle”. While many players did take a break away from the game – with players entitled to five consecutive days off – there were a host of Hoops players who spent the break from league fixtures away on Ireland international duty.
