Another year of Netflix movies is about to be behind us as we head toward 2024. This year was a significant one for Netflix, with the streaming service ushering in some polarizing changes like the infamous “password crackdown” and the ad-supported tier rolling out more widely. When it came to Netflix movies, the streaming service delivered a lot of great films…and a lot of duds, which is to be expected given the pure number of movies Netflix produces each year.

From returning shows that didn’t live up to their own high expectations to new shows that weren’t up to the quality we had been hoping for, Netflix released a fair amount of duds in 2023.

Every year, Netflix releases handfuls upon handfuls of new shows, and you can never predict which shows will become the biggest of the year and which stars will become the breakout Netflix stars of the year. In 2023, some of the top Netflix shows were Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, The Night Agent, The Fall of the House of Usher, and One Piece, and each produced at least one breakout star we’ll be watching well into 2024 and beyond.

The day everyone’s been waiting on is finally here. Welcome to Eden season 2 is now available to stream on Netflix, and people aren’t wasting any time tuning in and watching the new episodes. Season 2 kicks off right after the first season’s finale, with Zoa and Charly attempting to escape the island, but Zoa returns after she realizes her sister, Gabi, is on the latest boat coming into the island. We also saw Africa trigger some kind of satellite, sending a signal into space.
