    Boston Marathon runners and spectators are in for a sunny and mild Marathon Monday. Expect slightly cooler temperatures, likely in the mid to upper 50s, at the starting line in Hopkinton, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Kevin Cadima. “The temperature in Hopkinton will rise throughout the day, but the temperature in Boston at the finish should also be in the 50s because of a cooling sea breeze,” Cadima said. Written by Regina Taylor based on a photography book called “Crowns: Portraits of Black Women in Church Hats,” Moonbox Productions’ “Crowns” is directed by Regine Vital and at Arrow Street Arts through May 4.

    Price: $5Although East Somerville is teeming with restaurants serving up authentic (and delicious) Latin American food, the French bakery Michette on Broadway is not to be overlooked. Its bacon roll was superb. The roll consisted of beautifully laminated croissant dough wrapped around pieces of bacon; the result was bready, savory, buttery, meaty and unlike anything I’ve had before.
