Following a record-setting performance in qualification by freshman Aidan Fox and Kappa Sigma Racing with Fox setting a 24.987 second track record for a single lap, Fox would dominate the 67th Grand Prix, leading the entire race. Kappa Sigma Racing secured the 1-2 finish with junior driver Raif Shah finishing in second place after starting in fourth.

From a Cricket Quartet to honey tasting, bug-themed events are taking over Smith Hall for the annual Bug Bowl during Spring Fest on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.The Department of Entomology Outreach Coordinator Emily Justus said the two most popular events are the insect petting zoo and the cockroach races at Tom Turpin’s Cockroach Colosseum. “Turpin puts cockroaches in a colosseum set up (for them to) run toward doors, each with a label on it,” Justus said.

Through the white picket fence of the Farm at Prophetstown chickens and ducks run free and greet visitors. Displaying relics of 1920s cultural and agricultural history, the Farm at Prophetstown State Park, is located at 3534 Prophetstown Road in Battle Ground, Ind. “The biggest thing is learning about the 1920’s and how it compares to everyday commercial farming,” farm director Lee Goudy said. The farm is home to heirloom plants and animal species visitors can interact with.

Purdue wins an overtime thriller as they defeat the University of Illinois Fighting Illini 77-72. Freshman forward Mary Ashley Stevenson led the Boilermakers with 25 points, and one rebound off a double-double. Purdue led from the start and into the second half before the Fighting Illini worked their way back, tying the game with mere seconds left to send it into overtime.
