Charles Faggart died more than two months ago on April 10th while in the jail’s custody.     JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Feeding Northeast Florida just received a $750,000 grant from Walmart and Feeding America to help the group continue its mission to feed those struggling with food insecurity across the region. Newly released data from Feeding America shows a 17% increase in food insecurity in the 12 counties served by Feeding Northeast Florida during the past year. FNEFL says that means 1 in 7 adults and 1 in 5 children in our region suffer from food insecurity.

AUGUSTINE, Fla. — What was supposed to be a regular fishing trip for Yvonne Norman and her brother off the coast of St. Augustine turned into an experience that she and the world will never forget.     ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — St. Johns County Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday to move forward with the notification process for their proposed Solid Waste Assessment trash pickup rate hike. Currently, the rate is set at $254 a year.     JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A witness in a shooting case was killed weeks after Jacksonville police responded to her home following a vandalism incident. The family of Cassandra Brown, who was in her 60s, believes she was targeted for her role in testifying in the criminal trial. A police report obtained by Action News Jax states that Brown called police on May 10 to report vandalism at her home and deflated tires on her car.
