Two prominent Texas lawmakers are pushing to move the Space Shuttle Discovery out of its place at the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly to bring it to Texas — and Virginia’s senators aren’t happy about it. Texas Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn have filed new legislation called the “Bring the Space Shuttle Home Act.” This would transfer the Discovery to a nonprofit near the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston.

According to an analysis by GoBankingRates, Woodbridge is the No. 1 fastest-growing suburb in the United States. In a meeting on Tuesday night, the Purcellville town council voted to begin the process of eliminating its town police department. The council approved the measure with a 4–2 vote, with one member absent, Loudoun Now reported. The motion directed staff to prepare an ordinance that would eliminate the police department. Rather than a Purcellville-specific police force, the town would instead rely on the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
