The Connecticut Sun season isn't going as planned. And it may have just gotten worse. The team sits in last place in the league at 2-12, has lost six games in a row, and is now officially without its star for the next two to four weeks. Connecticut announced Tuesday afternoon that guard Marina Mabrey will miss the next two to four weeks with a left knee injury. No details on the injury were released.

STORRS - About 80 days ago, UConn women's basketbal l came home from Tampa with the ultimate hardware. A national championship trophy brought a wave of celebration and excitement as the Huskies won their 12th title and first since 2016. A parade was held in downtown Hartford while members of the program made national media appearances throughout the weeks to follow.

UNCASVILLE — Being traded to the Dallas Wings this offseason meant a new team, a new city, and new teammates for former Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington. The move also came with a new role. After four years in Connecticut as one of the youngest players in the locker room, she’s now one of the oldest with the Wings. Carrington was the team’s least experienced starter with only three previous seasons under her belt last year.
