BRIGHTON, Colo. — A robot could help make life a little easier at Berry Patch Farms, but it comes with a hefty price tag. The farm used to apply for grants through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), but amid frozen federal funding, farm owners are turning to the community for support. Tim and Claudia Ferrell have run this 40-acre certified organic farm for the past 27 years, growing a variety of produce including strawberries, raspberries, melons, cucumbers, and more.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Nearly a month after Jody Weber Chavez lost her life in a suspected DUI crash, her family and friends gathered at Prospect Park on Sunday night to honor her legacy through a candlelight vigil. On March 13, Wheat Ridge police responded to a two-vehicle crash around 5:15 a.m. Upon arrival, they found one person had died at the scene, along with a young child who was taken to the hospital.

Jared Polis signed Senate Bill 25-033 into law, which prohibits the state from issuing a liquor license to grocery stores with pharmacies. This will not impact current grocery stores that sell spirits, but it will prevent future stores from selling hard liquor. Josh Robinson, owner of Argonaut Wine and Liquor, has seen firsthand how state laws impact local businesses like his own.
