AbstractThe presence of frequent macro-square-wave jerks (SWJs) has been recently included in the diagnostic criteria for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). The aim of the current video-oculographic study was to systematically assess the presence and features of SWJs during a brief fixation task in PSP, in comparison with Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients and healthy controls (HC). Thirty-eight PSP patients, 55 PD patients and 40 HC were enrolled in the study.

The key-issue addressed in our work concerns how much each node in a source multilayer network is similar to a node of a target one, maintaining the layered structure in which these may coexist. More exhaustively, the analysis has to occur layer-on-layer in that heterogeneous entities must not be mixed in processing. This last issue was in fact considered in our experimentation as the occurrence of a de facto false positive.

Four-repeat (4R) tauopathies are neurodegenerative diseases characterized by cerebral accumulation of 4R tau pathology. The most prominent 4R tauopathies are progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and corticobasal degeneration characterized by subcortical tau accumulation and cortical neuronal dysfunction, as shown by PET-assessed hypoperfusion and glucose hypometabolism.

Opinion statementPSMA-PET has been a practice-changing imaging biomarker for the management of men with PCa. Research suggests improved accuracy over conventional imaging and other PET radiotracers in many contexts. With multiple approved PSMA-targeting radiotracers, PSMA PET will become even more available in clinical practice. Its increased use requires an understanding of the prospective data available and caution when extrapolating from prior trial data that utilized other imaging modalities.
