Magnus Llewellin, editor of The Times and Sunday Times Scotland, is leaving the titles and is expected to take time out before deciding on his future. Those attending the recent Press Lunch in Glasgow were made aware that Llewellin would be departing and the 60-year-old has confirmed to staff that he will leave at the end of June.

It came, last week, from Stewart McDonald MSP, a former defence spokesman at Westminster, and it was welcomed — albeit cautiously — by a Scottish government spokesman.
