The protests came as the U.S. Supreme Court issued a new ruling temporarily blocking deportations of immigrants under the Alien Enemies Act. The high court acted in an emergency appeal from the ACLU. Trump immigration policies were just one topic protesters demonstrated about.

EAST DUNDEE, Ill. (WLS) -- Bridal shops are warning about price increases because of tariffs. They say the price of a dress could go up hundreds of dollars. One local bridal shop owner said he's trying to get creative. The impacts of President Donald Trump's tariffs on China are already being felt by so many small businesses. A bridal shop in East Dundee is feeling it. They're now trying to compensate by selling some dresses for half the price, encouraging customers to get in and get some merchandise.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was injured in a shooting Sunday near a restaurant on the city's West Side. There was an active scene near Madison Street and Lotus Avenue, all of it happening in the small parking lot at MacArthur's Restaurant. The shooting happened outside the restaurant and did not disrupt business inside. The investigation appeared to be centered around a parked SUV. There were several evidence markers and shell casings on the ground.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- There was a "Tesla Takedown" protest Saturday in downtown Chicago. Some passionate crowds were out as a few hundred people gathered on the Near North Side, protesting against Tesla, and Elon Musk specifically. Many of them said they've grown frustrated with the actions of Musk's "department of government efficiency" despite him not being an elected official. Chants and roars echoed through parts of Chicago as massive crowds gathered to protest Musk and his company.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Construction season has returned around Chicago, and that means another phase of repairs on the Kennedy Expressway. The start date on the final phase of the Kennedy Expressway construction project is Monday. The video in the player above is from a previous report. IDOT was already alerting drivers near Taylor and Roosevelt Sunday evening of the construction that is set to resume Monday evening.
