Jill Canovan took her own life at Heaton Chapel railway station in Stockport around 4am on Monday, June 3, following a long battle with mental health issues. Emergency services rushed to the area but the mum-of-two was pronounced dead at the scene.

As Demi Mabbitt lay unconscious and critically injured at the roadside, it was heard that Cameron Jones callously used her phone to call the police and falsely claimed she had been the one driving. He then collected his bag from the smashed car and ran away.
