Before the war, before his house was destroyed and his family uprooted three times, the 32-year-old was a YouTuber reviewing Gaza City's buzziest burger, pizza and noodle spots.

AFP — The usually bustling streets of Jerusalem were eerily quiet on Monday as deadly fighting between Israel and Palestinian terrorists raged for a third day in and around the Gaza Strip after a surprise Hamas onslaught against Israeli civilians and troops. In the city’s west, Israeli pensioner Sara, 70, was sitting on a bench after her morning walk along the city’s normally busy main roads that were now almost deserted.

AFP — Members of Israel’s Arab minority fear they will bear the brunt of the hard-right government’s judicial overhaul, but have remained largely on the margins of a raging debate over the sweeping changes. Israelis have rallied weekly since the controversial legislative package was announced in January by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling coalition, dubbed “the worst ever” by Samira Kanaan Khalaylah, 57, who lives in the northern Arab town of Majd al-Krum.
