Government Ekpemupolo, the chief executive officer, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has dissociated himself and his company from the protest and shut down of the 28,000 barrel per day facility in Warri by some Itsekiri natives. In a statement Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo denied allegations that he was using Federal Government contract to deploy means to annihilate Itsekiris.

According to a report by Daily Post, Angry protesters on Tuesday paralyzed activities in Akure, the Ondo State capital, following the brutal killing of farmers by suspected herdsmen in the Ajagbusi area of Akure North Local Government. The victims were ambushed while heading to their farms early Tuesday morning at the 13/13 farming settlement in Ala Elefosan.

On 28 March, tragedy struck the town of Uromi in Edo State, Southern Nigeria, when a group of 16 young men were lynched and burnt to death by some members of the community in a manner that sent shock waves across the country. A violent and emotional scene unfolded on Thursday, March 27, in Uromi, the headquarters of Esan North East Local Government Area, as an enraged mob lynched sixteen suspected herders accused of working with kidnappers to terrorize communities across Edo State. According to reports from The Vanguard, the suspects were apprehended by local vigilantes after emerging from a hideout in the forest between Onicha-Ugbo and Ubiaja.
