I love books, especially in the summer. With a looser schedule, I find I have more time to read. I think I got my love of books from my mom. She's an avid reader (though I wish, how I wish, she wouldn't save all the paperbacks after she reads them!) and she's always recommending new books to me. That's how I got the book Excavations in my hands. Thanks to my mom, I nabbed not only a great summer book but a fun author interview. My mom is also a HUGE fan of her book club.

Believe me when I tell you, there are some things you're never "too old" for. I got started late in the Harry Potter game. I didn't actually read the books until I was in college, but I remembered what a big deal they were when I was in the fifth grade.
