    April 2's University Center vote provided the university with an approval it's been working toward for over two years. After a similar vote failed in 2022, students went to the polls last week and approved a University Center renovations referendum with 1,191 votes in favor and 952 opposed. The New UC referendum aims to renovate and expand the UC by increasing the student union fee from $39 to $150 per fall and spring semesters or $75 per summer semester.

    The Progressive Student Union protested a speaking event led by Zachary Marschall, Campus Reform editor-in-chief, Thursday outside of College Hall. UTA’s chapter of Turning Point USA invited Marschall to discuss how to combat antisemitism on campus. The conservative activist organization has over 3,500 groups nationwide across high school and college campuses.
