Jackson of Alger, a 1970 Bellefontaine High School graduate and a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, served as the featured speaker for the Bellefontaine Memorial Day Ceremony Monday morning, May 26. He retired from active duty in 1992, and he encouraged those gathered at the Bellefontaine Cemetery to remember the cost of our freedom.
