I feel afraid. And I’m not a person who feels afraid of much. The world is at war, and our leaders are either too stupid, too addicted to power, and too coerced into silence or complicity to speak up. When will the Australian government ever grow the balls to stand up, and step away? This obsession with America, with this ludicrous allyship to a country that brazenly commits war crimes has to stop.

A good f*ckup changes your life… At the time it’s excruciating. But sometimes it opens a door to something quite unexpected. It was a f*ckup that was the foundation of one of my most treasured friendships and unexpected collaborations. About a decade ago, I was attending the glorious Bello Fest. Did I even ask you? BTW never tell a woman she looks ‘tired’. It’s never appreciated. Looking tired is never up there with healthy and gorgeous. It means worn out. Ravaged. And shit. It’s up there with ‘well’, which we know means ‘a bit fat’. While I’m on this, maybe just stop commenting on what women look like.

Coles and Woolworths chains control about two-thirds of the market. It’s why they have been accused of price gouging and colluding to drive up profits. Corporate theft. But hey, it’s okay. They’re corporations. Last week a 24-year-old Aboriginal man in Alice Springs died after shoplifting in Coles.
