The accolade was officially presented during the Annual Review Meeting of the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) held on May 20, 2025, in New Delhi.

A group of recent graduates told Rising Kashmir that it has come to their notice that the JKMC is verifying and processing documents for only four applicants per day.

While haemophilia patients across all Indian states and Union Territories are provided life-saving anti-haemophilia drugs free of cost by their respective governments, it appears that this crucial support has been undermined in Jammu and Kashmir since October last year.

Srinagar, June 17: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice to medical colleges across the country under its administrative control on adoption of Model Education Loan Scheme (MELS) formulated by Indian Banks Association (IBA). The notice has been issued by the NMC's Policy and Coordination Division to 50 medical colleges including All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Vijaypur, Samba, Jammu also known as AIIMS Jammu.
