He presented a mathematics lecture for 31 hours, 42 minutes, and 54 seconds to achieve the feat. Kazeem smashed the previous record of 26 hours of non-stop lessons. The groundbreaking event by the 400-level mathematics student was witnessed by representatives of the Guinness World Record.

A partial blackout was experienced in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, following a protest by some staff of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) allegedly over poor and unfriendly working conditions.
The aggrieved workers were sighted locking out customers from transacting businesses within the company. Our correspondent gathered that the protesting staff locked the gates of the two business offices of the company at Challenge and Baboko new market, Ilorin.

A Mass Communication student of the University of Ilorin (name withheld) has committed suicide in Ilorin.
The Guardian gathered that the student took a poisonous substance to take his own life at his residence at Oke-odo axis of Tanke, Ilorin. The 200-level male student, according to colleagues, committed suicide because of the current economic hardship in the country. Our correspondent learnt that the deceased ended his life last week when his roommate had left for lectures.
