To accommodate the 10 agency leaders present, the plenary session titled “The Future of Space Exploration: The Agency Perspective” was divided into two panels, one following the other.

Mission Control’s Rover Driving Academy educational program has added MDA Space as a new sponsor which will allow the program to continue. Mission Control said that the program to date has reached over 4,000 students and was developed with support from the Canadian Space Agency. The Rover Driving Academy is free for students in grades six to nine across Canada.

The White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released its budget proposal for FY2026 today that includes a cut of nearly 25% for NASA and would ax the Lunar Gateway. The budget proposal stated it would “terminate the Gateway, a small lunar space station in development with international partners, which would have been used to support future SLS and Orion missions.” Also being phased out is the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft.

Brigadier-General Christopher Horner was the opening keynote speaker at the Canadian Space Launch Conference. Horner emphasized the critical importance of Canada developing a sovereign and resilient space capability including launch, and that the space domain has become a part of Canada’s critical national infrastructure.

Not impressed with Twitter's rebranding. I would have thought other issues (technical etc) with the service were more pressing.
