Loved Doctor Who (Moffat is the GOAT) but with strong competition, Gavin and Stacey stole Christmas evening TV for me. Just adored it, a beautiful way to end and I think one of the great comedies of my lifetime.

Really enjoyed #Conclave but I did find for a film about doubt and the dangers of certainty, there was no real questioning of the virtues of progressivism and liberalism that underpin the film. Maybe it just wasn’t the vehicle to deliver that, but I can’t stop thinking about it.

Had a great time with #Wicked. Such incredible talent onscreen. As someone who has always wanted a Wicked movie, it didn’t disappoint…and somehow only being Part 1 actually works. It kind of makes it feel like an epic.

The Holdovers is such a delightful movie. Perfect for this time of year!

I know there’s a lot to unpack with Emilia Pérez, and I’m not qualified to do so, but I found the movie incredibly compelling. Fantastic performances, great songs, heavy themes… yeah, kind of loved it.

Sometimes I think about the final moments of Twin Peaks The Return and wonder if it might be the best TV ending ever. I don’t understand it on a logical level, but oh boy do I feel it!

Geez, #ThePenguin finale was amazing. It’s a testament to the script and Farrell’s performance that you always want to see the good in Oz, even when all the evidence tells you not to. No punches pulled ending!

Season 2 of #TheDevilsHour is good stuff, very well made TV. Frustrating ending but can’t wait to see how it all plays out in season 3.

Heaven Sent/Hell Bent really are masterpieces, aren’t they? Lightening in a bottle stuff, prob the high point of all #DoctorWho and just some of the best genre TV ever made. If other franchises had even half the genius this era had, TV would look very different.

The cancellation of #TheAcolyte has damaged my enjoyment of Star Wars as a whole. Anything even the slightest bit new or interesting is now subject to cancellation unless it appeals to the worst of the fanbase. Find myself largely indifferent to upcoming projects. Shame.
