There used to be the notion that Eagles general manager Howie Roseman didn’t draft particularly well, but he has proven to be adept at all phases of player procurement. That is why Roseman should find himself in the Hall of Fame one day. As the draft takes place April 24-26 in Green Bay, the Eagles will look to replace several players who were lost this offseason in free agency. One thing is for sure, look for Roseman to do his usual maneuvering during the draft.

The West Jersey Football League Coaches Association (WJFLCA) have come up with an annual tradition that provides the South Jersey football season a major boost in its opening week. It is the Battle at the Beach, a three-day event consisting of 10 games which this year will take place at two different venues from Aug. 28-30. This is the fifth annual Battle at the Beach and over the years there have been different locations.

As with many college players these days, Memphis running back Mario Anderson Jr. had a well-traveled college career, especially in the last few years. He spent four years at Division II Newberry College (playing three seasons after redshirting in 2019). Anderson then played one season each at South Carolina and Memphis. Whether it was Division II, or playing in the SEC or AAC, Anderson produced at a high level.
