    As I finished up my time reviewing the brand-new Technics SL-1300G turntable, I quickly glanced at some of the recent reviews from my colleagues and found that they too are slightly overwhelmed by all the recent additions to this legendary Japanese manufacturer’s product line. After the original SL-1200s were discontinued some years ago, there was nothing to immediately replace them. Then came the Technics SL-1200G, and everything seemingly changed overnight.

    David Chesky is involved in quite a few projects within the HiFi realm. In addition to founding HDTracks.com, Chesky Records and now The Audiophile Society, he is an accomplished musician, composer and even an author of children’s books. His son Luca has recently become part of the audiophile scene with the launch of his new speaker the LC1 Bookshelf Monitor. With so many “irons in the fire”, we were pretty excited to get David Chesky as a guest for the Season 12 opener of The Occasional Podcast.
