Marc RayIowa City Press-CitizenIowa City Liberty boys soccer player Roman Riggs and Iowa City High girls track runner Abigail Burns were voted by readers as the Iowa City Press-Citizen's Athletes of the Week for March 31-April 6. Riggs was voted boys Athlete of the Week with 54% of the vote. Iowa City High soccer player Jackson Nichols-Lindsey placed second with 44% of the vote. Riggs didn't take long to make an impact during the opening week of action for Liberty soccer.

Iowa City High shot-putter Rachel Haack and Iowa City West runner Jake Weiler were voted by readers as the Press-Citizen's Athletes of the Week for March 17-23. Haack earned girls Athlete of the Week with 51% of the vote. Iowa City Liberty runner Marissa Becker placed second with 31% of the vote. Haack placed second in the shot put at the Hilltop Co-Ed Invitational on March 17. The junior Little Hawk threw 40 feet, 4.5 inches to take home silver.
