Clear Creek Amana runner Cortavion Seals and Iowa City Liberty long jumper Alexi Thigpen were voted by readers as Press-Citizen's Athletes of the Week for March 10-16. Seals was voted boys Athlete of the Week with 81% of the vote. Iowa City Liberty's Keegan Decker placed second with 12% of the vote. Iowa City High football and track legend Tim Dwight will be inducted into the National High School Hall of Fame, the NFHS announced on Thursday. Dwight was among 11 athletes selected nationwide for the Class of 2025. “Tim has taken the lessons of education-based activities and applied them in his home state as a philanthropist and entrepreneur, passionate about renewable energy and young people,” said Tom Keating, IHSAA executive director.
