The Houston Rockets are now considered even "less likely" to pursue a trade for Kevin Durant this offseason than what was previously thought, sources tell Marc Stein and Jake Fischer. The Phoenix Suns will work Kevin Durant on a trade this offseason and plan to "pivot and reload" around Devin Booker. The Rockets own a number of future draft picks originating from the Suns following their trade in June 2024 with the Brooklyn Nets.

The future of Willie Green as head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans is uncertain as they head into the offseason. If Green and the Pelicans part ways, he could become a candidate to become the next head coach of the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have been widely expected to fire Mike Budenholzer after their disappointing 24-25 season.

The NBA has made it a priority to host games in Europe. The last three regular seasons have seen games staged in Paris, France. That includes two last season featuring Victor Wembanyama playing at home in games that featured the San Antonio Spurs and Indiana Pacers. Now, Berlin, Germany and London, England are favorite to host games next season. Both cities have been prominently mentioned as ones that could host the NBA, and that appears on tap for the 2025-26 season.

The New Orleans Pelicans are wrapping up one of the worst seasons in franchise history. That has some believing that front office leader David Griffin and head coach Willie Green could be wrapping up their tenures with the team. Griffin took over the Pelicans front office in April of 2019. Under his leadership, New Orleans has made two playoff appearances and has had two winning seasons. Green led the team to both of those playoff appearances and both winning seasons.
