Nearly eight years after Phantom Thread hit theaters, Daniel Day-Lewis is officially headed back to the big screen in his next starring role. The Academy Award-winning actor is coming out of retirement to feature in an upcoming drama directed by one of his sons. On Tuesday, Focus Features announced that Anemone, directed by Ronan Day-Lewis, is getting a limited theatrical release on Oct. 3 before getting an expanded run starting Oct. 10.

Update: DC Studios has unveiled a short teaser in anticipation of the official trailer for James Gunn's Superman, which is set to release online this Wednesday. The brief footage shown today features David Corenswet's Superman in action, fighting someone who seems like the super-powered Hammer of Boravia. Coincidentally, it seems the villain has similar powers to the Kryptonian hero, including laser vision. Nicholas Hoult also speaks as Lex Luthor, the primary antagonist of the DCU film.
