Becker was W W Hotshot’s first trainer, lost him via a claim for $12,500 two summers ago, and claimed him back for $40,000 last August. W W Hotshot got a winter break, won a Fanduel Racing allowance in his 2024 debut, and on Sunday at Hawthorne was much the best in the $75,000 Work All Week Handicap, carrying his high weight of 124 pounds to a 2 1/4-length victory.
