The Snetterton race one winner reckons that a tactical dropping off the podium in race one could be the way to go, to avoid being forced to run the hard-compound tyre in race two.

Two-time British Touring Car Championship race winner Senna Proctor is to make an earlier-than-expected return to the series at Thruxton this weekend. The 26-year-old Yorkshireman had been revealed pre-season as filling the fourth Excelr8 Motorsport Hyundai seat for the second half of the campaign, from the early August round at his home circuit of Croft onwards.

British Touring Car Championship star Tom Ingram is confident that Excelr8 Motorsport has cracked the code on solving its Hyundai’s lack of pace on a damp track. Ingram famously fell short of claiming his second BTCC crown in the 2024 season finale at Brands Hatch, when drizzle through the afternoon left the i30 N Fastback short of grip. That left him vulnerable to an attack from Jake Hill, who sailed past in his BMW to claim his maiden title.
