MONROE, La. (KNOE) - It was a hot and humid last few days across the ArkLaMiss. Temperatures on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday reached 100 degrees, with feels like temperatures even higher, at times exceed 110 degrees. While these temperatures did not break records across the region, this was the first time since August 2023 where 100 degrees was reached three days in a row.

Loran/Spearsville Tornado tracked 1.48 miles on the ground on Monday, July 8th, 2024.(KNOE Weather)MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The National Weather Service office in Shreveport confirmed 36 tornadoes touched down Monday evening across parts of Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas, due to then weakening Tropical Storm Beryl. Across the ArkLaMiss, two were EF2 Tornadoes that impacted parts of Union Parish. The first one was in Laran, LA, with maximum winds of 125 mph.
