This study evaluated the joint genetic background of immune traits in LR and LW piglets through the application of various uv and mv GWAS approaches. In general, mv GWAS approaches outperformed uv methods and detected genome-wide associations for immune traits. It should be considered that the number of significant associations differs between the applied methods and the possibility of chromosome-wide correction for multiple testing was only feasible in two approaches.
