Vi lever i en alltmer orolig värld. Ryssland invasion av Ukraina och det skoningslösa kriget i Gaza skrämmer oss och ökar de globala spänningarna. De globala militärutgifterna ökar i rasande takt. Kärnvapenstaterna utökar och förnyar sina arsenaler. Allt fler länder överger demokratin och går i auktoritär riktning. De försämrade säkerhetsläget fick Sverige och Finland att överge sin långa tradition av militär alliansfrihet, och man är idag medlemmar av Nato.
