IKITSUKI, Japan — On this small island in rural Nagasaki, Japan ‘s Hidden Christians gather to worship what they call the Closet God. Another scroll shows a man wearing a kimono covered with camellias, an allusion to John the Baptist’s beheading and martyrdom.
