Budget airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) and aviation training firm CAE are expanding their joint venture with the addition of a new Airbus A330neo full-flight simulator at their training center in Clark, Pampanga. In a disclosure on Wednesday, the Gokongwei-led carrier said the new simulator, set to be operational by December 2026, will support training for its expanding network and widebody fleet. It will join the existing A320 and ATR 72-600 simulators currently in use at the Clark facility.

Motorists may face another hit at the pump next week, with diesel prices poised to rise by nearly P4 per liter as tensions in the Middle East continue to rattle global oil markets. Preliminary data from the Mean of Platts Singapore, the regional benchmark for the deregulated oil industry, showed diesel trading higher by around P3.40 to P3.60 per liter on Monday and Tuesday, while gasoline rose by P2.30 to P2.50 per liter. These are already higher than the adjustments implemented earlier this week.

ACEN Corp., the listed energy platform of the Ayala Group, is divesting its diesel-fired power assets with a combined capacity of 189 megawatts (MW) in favor of renewable energy, with the sale of its stakes in three diesel plants to parent company AC Energy and Infrastructure Corp. (ACEIC). In a disclosure on Monday, ACEN said its Executive Committee approved the sale of its ownership interests in the following special purpose vehicles: Bulacan Power Generation Corp.

Energy Undersecretary Sharon Garin, newly appointed Officer-in-Charge of the Department of Energy (DoE), vowed to sustain the energy policies and reforms initiated under former Secretary Raphael Perpetuo Lotilla, who was recently transferred to lead the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. “The key word is continuity. We continue the policies and the reforms that Secretary Lotilla has done so that the President’s targets will continue by 2028,” Garin said during a media briefing.
